Cold Water fishing on the Maitland River provides you with Rainbow Trout, Chinook Salmon and when warm water fishing you will see Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Panfish.

Originally designed to cast on rivers where high banks prevent a back cast, the two-handed rod has been re-designed to perform in many different angling situations. When choosing a reel for steelheading make sure you choose a reel with a large arbor. They offer some distinct advantages. They allows for quick line retrieval that comes in handy when having to reel in fast as a fish is running back at you. Also they provide consistent drag pressure that is consistent whether you have a little bit of line in the water, or are deep into your backing.
