St. Catherine's, also known as The Garden City, is located on the Niagara peninsula just to the north of Niagara Falls. St. Catherine's is smack dab in the center of some of the best fishing Southern Ontario has to offer. It's a very lively community with friendly people and plenty of activities for the family available throughout the region. From tour's of the many vineyards in the area, to getting up close to the many ships that pass through the Welland Canal, and along with picturesque beaches. St. Catherine's is also a very short drive from one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Niagara Falls.
The winter months carry Brown and Lake Trout and Steelhead, while the spring brings Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Coho Salmon and King Salmon. The summer has Smallmouth Bass, Walleye & Musky. Finally, autumn has the return of Kings and continues with Smallmouth & Walleye.

Tying Notes: This pattern can be tied in a variety of sizes and colors. Popular colors include black, brown, white, and olive.
The equipment used on the Niagara River consisted of a 7, 8 and 10 weight rod. The 7 & 8 weights are for the bass. Stiff action rods were needed to handle the intermediate shooting headlines that were used.
The 10 weight rod was used for Musky.
