Waterfalls Lodge has a wide range of species to angle for. The Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike fishing are particular great for fly fishers because of the shallow water opportunities. Top water fishing is outstanding here!
Poppers for bass as well as Wooly Buggers and minnow patterns. For the Northern Pike, we recommend tube flies, Deceivers and other large patterns. All can be obtained from www.reelflies.ca.for a very reasonably prices.
We like a six or seven weights for the bass fishing coupled with a floating line and also an intermediate for getting down in the water column if required. For the Northern Pike, a eight or nine weight rod is best with a fast-action so you can easily turnover big flies in windy conditions.
