Cedar Island Lodge – Bass, Pike & Musky

For anglers looking for a great getaway with access to a multitude of warm-water species, Cedar Island Lodge in NW Ontario is the place to go! Their lake system is blessed with numerous pike and musky which are tremendous to catch on a fly. For those that love bass, they have both smallmouth and largemouth bass with no closed season. The fishing here is excellent and the top water action can be exceptional. It is recommended you bring 8-10 weight rods for the pike and musky. We suggest 6-8 weight rods for the bass for casting in windy conditions or to heavy cover (weeds) with poppers. The lodge and associated cabins are clean and comfortable. You can choose from the full American plan to a bring-your-own food (housekeeping plan) setup. They can help accommodate virtually any budget. Best of all, this is not a fly-in destination yet is still remote and in the wilderness.
