Though this is a very populated state, upper New York is actually vary sparsely inhabited. There are wonderful rivers and lakes throughout this region that have great stocking programs to ensure healthy populations of trout, salmon and steelhead. The Salmon River which runs through Pulaski is probably the most popular and worth a visit.
