Fly fishing for Northern Pike and Musky with flies is becoming more and more popular. We often get asked what we like to use to prevent “bite-offs”. Our favourite product by far is RIO’s Powerflex Wire Bite Tippet. It is a tough, flexible nylon-coated wire that’s perfect for sharp toothed critters. This knot-able, braided wire is supple enough to tie directly to the fly. Available in three size options; 20lb, 30lb & 40lb, with 15 feet on each spool.
